Sotabeams have just released a new Advanced Audio Processor unit which boasts excellent noise reduction, bandwidth control, audio compensation for age-related hearing decline.
The unit is simple to fit, connecting an audio cable from the radio to the unit and from the unit to your headphones or speaker.

Dates for the next Intermediate training course and exam have now been finalised. The theory training will take place on 5th and 6th April 2019. The practical elements and exam will take place on 13th April. Both will be held at the club premises at Mapperley Plains Social club. Fees £32.50 exam, £10.00 towards room. Non members are encouraged to join the club for one year, £15.00.

Congratulations to Peter O’Shea and Joe Green who recently passed their Advanced exam. Joe, who passed with distinction, now has the new callsign M0JOJ and Peter’s new callsign is M0IVL.
Well done done both of you, the hard work has paid off.
Three more students pass the Foundation exam. Congratulations to John Carless, Micheal Wheat and Adam Roberts who took the exam on Saturday 20th October. They are now waiting for confirmation from the RSGB and getting their new M7 callsigns.
The next foundation course is booked for 18/19th August and 25th August. Theory on the first 2 days and practical and exam on 25th. Candidates need to have the Foundation now book available from the RSGB bookshop or Amazon and they should start reading before the training.
John Rymell has taken one step towards his Amateur Radio Licence, by passing his foundation Exam, with South Notts ARC. John is now awaiting his certificate and callsign to be issued.
